Travel info

For those of you who missed this information on the first page of this chapter, a small reminder...

Central Italy's closest major airports are in Rome, Pisa and Florence.

The solution that we suggest to reach Assisi from abroad is to land in Rome or Florence and to continue for Assisi by car, bus or train.

In case you are planning on arriving in a bigger group, let us know and we can bring you in touch with specialised companies to rent an entire bus or a smaller vehicle.

  • The major international gateway is Rome's Aeroporto Leonardo da Vinci, known as Fiumicino (FCO) (30 km/19 mi southwest of Rome, about 200 km from the resort in Assisi);
  • Pisa's Aeroporto Galileo Galilei (PSA) (12 km/7 mi south of Pisa and 80 km (50 mi) west of Florence) has flights from Brussels, Toulouse, Amsterdam and Paris, as well as connections to Rome and Milan. This airport is approximately 250 km from the resort;
  • Florence's Aeroporto A. Vespucci, known as Peretola (FLR) (10 km/6 mi northwest of Florence), has connections to Brussels, Paris, London, Rome, and Milan; the resort is about 180 km away;
  • Perugia's tiny Aeroporto San Francesco d'Assisi (PEG) has flights to and from Brussels, London and Milan, where direct flights are available from and to most of the main international destinations.; of course, it's the quickest way of joining us in Assisi, being at a distance of little over 10 km.

If you prefer to travel by train, you can find more info on the website http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en: the nearest railway station is Assisi/Santa Maria degli Angeli, about 3 km from the hotel.

The GPS coordinates of the resort are 43.041905, 12.561355.
